The Stoelenproject is the most accessible evening and night shelter in Amsterdam. The shelter is basic, but safe, warm and free. Every night, we offer accommodate 50 homeless Amsterdammers at our shelter on the Marnixstraat.
Every year, from September 15 to April 30, we facilitate 10,000 overnight stays with 75 volunteers. Since 1989.
We are completely dependent on grants and donations. Volunteers and the board are not paid and all funds are directly spent on facilities for our homeless visitors.
Every euro helps.
The Stoelenproject has several large donors and many small ones. The Stoelenproject foundation has been certified as a charity by the Dutch government: ANBI (Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling). This means that your donations may be tax deductible.
